Rodolfo Benítez has been a professional photographer for 22 years. After graduating with a BA in Communications from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, he landed his first job as a photojournalist in the prestigious Diario de Caracas, in Venezuela's capital.
He worked there for 3 years and learned about coming home with a great photograph at the end of the day no matter what the circumstances were. This experience helped him shape his current approach as an Advertising and Editorial photographer, a field in which imponderables abound.
During his photojournalism years, he also freelanced for AP and SIPA press in Latin America, and had his work published internationally in publications like The New York Times and The Miami Herald.
Capitalizing on his training as a photojournalist and a passion for beautiful lighting and clean composition, he then moved on to the editorial and advertising areas of the business. In this field, Rodolfo has been the recipient of a New York Festival's Bronze Medal, a National Press Diploma in the Cannes Advertising Festival and was a Finalist in the London Festival and the "Ojo de Iberoamerica".

His work is part of the Hallmark Greeting Card Collection, the MILK archive, and has been featured on Canon Europe's promotional material for 3 years in a row.
He has shot hundreds of advertising campaigns for clients like: Nike, Sony, Absolut Vodka, Jeep, Samsung, Yamaha, Johnson and Johnson, Coca Cola, Nestle, Firestone, Colgate, Procter and Gamble, etc.
His editorial work has been published by Harper's Bazaar en español, Ocean Drive, Gatopardo and Newsweek. He was featured by Gatopardo Magazine as one of the best photographers of Latin America.
His Stock photography is represented by Stockfood, AGE and Tips Images.
Having been an avid tennis player in his college years, his passion for the sport has translated into the field of photography; to see more of his tennis imagery, please visit www.tennisstock.com.
Rodolfo lives in Miami Beach and shoots daily. He spends his free time playing catch with his 11 year old son: Arturo (a great photographer in his own right).
